This week’s high school baseball rankings for the San Gabriel Valley area, as of Tuesday, April 15.
BASEBALL TOP 10
(Records through Monday, April 14)
1. LA MIRADA (16-4)
The Matadores competed in the prestigious USA Baseball National High School Invitational in North Carolilna, where they lost 3-1 to eventual champion Venice of Florida and went 2-2 during their trip. They have three games against Gahr this week with a chance to wrap up the Gateway League title.

2. ARCADIA (18-2)
The Apaches won two non-league games against Torrance last week while on spring break. The Apaches are 8-0 in the Pacific League, but the easy part is over. They get Burbank twice this week followed by a pair against Burroughs and Crescenta Valley to close out league play.

3. BISHOP AMAT (16-4)
The Lancers two-game sweep of Serra moved them to 8-0 in the Del Rey League, needing a win against Paraclete on Saturday to clinch at least a share of the league title. They finish league play with three games against La Salle, who already has three league losses.

4. MONROVIA (17-3)
The Wildcats survived two close calls, beating Temple City (2-1) and South Pasadena (8-7) to go to 6-1 in the Rio Hondo League. They play South Pasadena again on Thursday. But next week are the big games against San Marino.

5. SOUTH HILLS (13-6)
The Huskies beat struggling South Torrance (6-1) and West Torrance (4-2) last week. They’re 4-0 in the Hacienda League with a pair of league games against Los Altos next. Huskies haven’t played the toughest schedule, but it will get tougher over the next few weeks before playoffs.

6. LA SALLE (13-5)
The Lancers struggled during the middle part of the season but have won four straight, all non-league games, which included an impressive 6-5 win over San Marino. They’re 5-3 in the Del Rey League, but three will come against league undefeated Bishop Amat.

7. ST. PAUL (13-7)
The Swordsmen are nearing a playoff spot from the Del Rey League, where they improved to 5-5 with a 4-1 win over Paraclete. They only have two league games left, both against Serra. The Swordsmen need to win one to claim third outright.

8. MARANATHA (9-6-1)
After a head-shaking slow start, the Minutemen are finally living up to their talent potential with seven straight wins and are 4-0 in the Olympic League. They have four shutouts during that stretch and haven’t allowed more than two runs in all seven wins.

9. GANESHA (10-3)
The Giants are in cruise mode in the Miramonte League with four straight shutouts and seven consecutive wins overall. Will be curious what division they land in with the CIF Southern Section’s computer rankings deciding divisions based on record and schedule strength.

10. SAN MARINO (15-5)
The Titans beat La Canada 3-0 on Monday to go to 4-1 in the Rio Hondo League with another game against La Canada on Thursday. Both San Marino and Monrovia have one loss in league play and meet twice next week in a series that could decide the league title.
